Accessing Public Data Removed from U.S. Government Websites

As of January 20, 2025, many webpages, publicly-funded data sets, and government publications have been removed. Lbrarians, researchers, and data scientists have worked to save this data and make it available.

Archive of data.gov
The Harvard Library Innovation Lab Team has released more than 311,000 datasets harvested in 2024 and 2025 on Source Cooperative.
CDC Guidelines
This webpage makes available CDC Guidelines in the following areas: Contraception, Family Planning, Sexual Health, Vaccines, Women & Children, Youth, LGBTQIA, and Intimate Partner & Sexual Violence.
DataLumos
DataLumos is a crowd-sourced Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research archive for government data resources, primarily social science research such as Department of Education statistical data.
Data Rescue Project
This is a collaboration among a group of data organizations, including IASSIST, RDAP, and members of the Data Curation Network. The project has created a Data Rescue Tracker to catalogue ongoing public data rescue efforts.

Internet Archive’s End of Term 2024 Collection
Offers views and many documents and data sources from pre-election government websites.
Public Environmental Data Project
The project has compiled a large list of federal databases and tools, including the CDC’s Social Vulnerability Index and Environmental Justice Index.
